FORT LAUDERDALE, FL– Governor Charlie Crist and participants at the 24th Annual Governor’s Hurricane Conference gathered in May at a luncheon in downtown Fort Lauderdale at the Greater Fort Lauderdale / Broward County Convention Center to honor 12 award recipients for their various contributions towards preparedness and response efforts during 2009, at both the state and local level.
The Governor's First Responder Award – was presented to Captain Bradley Williams, Director of Operations for Marine Tactical Applications Global, LLC and Statewide Coordinator of Special Operations, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for his 30 years of experience and conscientious leadership in enhancing response capability throughout Florida and the nation.







MTAG Trains Federal Special Agents
and
DOD Police

Niceville FL:  Marine Tactical Applications Global, LLC brought Federal Special Agents from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Fisheries Service, Office of Law Enforcement (NOAA/OLE) together with Department of Defense Security Police for tactical training on waters surrounding Eglin Air Force Base.
 
The seminar, entitled “High Risk Vessel Boardings” was designed to familiarize the Special Agents and Officers with techniques related to apprehension and control of dangerous suspects aboard small vessels.
 
MTAG instructors began the day long seminar with classroom instruction regarding tactics, techniques, situational awareness, and threat identification.  The class then moved to Boggy Bayou adjacent to Eglin AFB for participation in realistic scenarios.
